About Shadow

Hi!
I'm Shadow Finch, a 26 year old, disabled, writer from Colorado, USA. I typically use She/They pronouns, but am totally content and able to use any pronouns as long as I know you are speaking with me. Shadow Centeric is a place where I will offer a range of tips, tricks, and advice on top of generally giving updates on my life and opinions I hold.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in History with a Religious Studies minor and thus have a different way that I look at and build stories than most. I will discuss a range of history and religious topics as they come up or as my interest in them grows, in addition to using them to help relate how I develop my writing.
As stated above, I am disabled. In addition to a number of physical health issues, I also have a number of mental health issues, and thus will discuss topics as they relate to that. This also means that there is always the potential updates will vary and be sporadic, but I will do my best to avoid that. Generally, I hope to eventually be able to use this blog to develop a passive income, as applying for Disability has proven difficult, and has me worried. In addition, this is a fat-positive space, there will be no fat shaming here, fatphobia will not be tolerated.
This is a cannabis positive blog, and will discuss topics regarding it as such. To be clear though, I am pro-cannabis as long as it is used responsibly and legally, I do not sell anything related to cannabis currently, and if I do in the future it will be related products not the cannabis itself. I do not offer advice on how to ship, sell, receive, buy, etc. cannabis in areas where it is illegal nor will I offer advice to minors without medical cards. Cannabis is incredibly helpful and is honestly great in a number of other ways as well, but abuse of it is a problem both inside and outside the community.
In addition to the above information, I do also do some art and such both as it relates to my writing and how it relates to my life. I will post and share such things here, along with tips, tricks, advice, and stories related to it as well. If you choose to save, share, edit, etc. any of my art, please credit me. If you are inspired by my art feel free to share what you created in turn, I love seeing what others make.
All the stuff on this blog is related to my own personal experiences, and therefore should be considered as such. If I say something and it doesn't fit your own experiences you are of course welcome to share your own views as long as it is not done in an offensive or hateful manner. All advice I give should be taken with the disclaimer that I am not responsible if it results in a different outcome than I indicated or if it leads to other additional issues. Always keep your own life in mind, if I suggest something and it is not allowed in the area you live or would get you in trouble in some way (whether legally, personally, or otherwise), use common sense and don't do it. My life is not the same as yours and thus not everything I say or do will help or apply to you, so only use what will actually be helpful to you.
As of right now, I am not currently selling anything nor being paid to endorse anything. Everything I recommend is because I personally believe it is best and has worked best for me. If I end up being paid or whatever to endorse or sell something I will make that clear, but also, I am not a person who will speak positively about something that I dislike or hate. Therefore, I typically will not support something unless I actually like it and/or find it legitimately helpful
Finally, this should be a safe space. I will not tolerate hate speech, trolls, peer pressure, shaming, etc. I firmly believe there is enough of that nonsense already present in the world. That being said, I will still likely end up discussing sensitive issues and will do my best to tag and label them appropriately, but if I write occasionally about a topic that triggers you or that you do not wish to see, let me know and I will do my best to arrange ways for you to not be shown such things. I do not want to be hurting others, and if I say something that you consider an issue/problematic, let me know. I will always do my best to accommodate others and adjust my views to be more inclusive, but I can't do that if I'm unaware of the problem. These adjustments can also include ways to make the blog more accessible in whatever way you need. That being said, I will not adjust if the reason something makes you uncomfortable is because you are racist, homophobic, transphobic, fatphobic, etc.
